Blenheim Palace is a monumental country house in Woodstock, Oxfordshire and one of only a handful of non-royal, non-episcopal country houses in England to hold the title of 'palace'. Designed by Sir John Vanbrugh and built between 1705 and 1722, it is the principal residence of the Dukes of Marlborough and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
